Yes, Trump Likes the Idea of His Political Opponents Dying. He Proved It This Week.

It was all over the news last night, but I haven’t seen it here.  At last night’s presser, Trump found out Mitt Romney put himself in quarantine, and said “Geeeee, that’s too bad.”  CNN version:

Yes, that’s levity in those reptilian eyes.  And a slight pleased-with-himself grin afterwards.

Notice the reporter didn’t miss it.  “Do I detect sarcasm there?” Of course ImPOTUS denied it.  “None whatsoever.” Sounded like continuing sarcasm to me.

Romney is 73, and his wife has multiple sclerosis.  They could both be in deadly danger.

If you keep watching, you’ll see CNN analyst Gloria Borger talk about Romney’s pro-impeachment vote and how Trump “can’t get beyond himself.”  Then Dr. Sejal Hathi of Massachusetts General Hospital rips him a new one: “We [doctors] are sick and tired and angry at the indifference of a self-obsessed president and the inaction and ineptitude of his dithering administration.”

I wrote in a previous diary that other people are not real to Trump, that for him you are not really there.  That includes your life — especially if you oppose him.  He sees you not as a human being, but as a threat to be removed, and he doesn’t care how.  He just wants you gone. If that takes your death by coronavirus, that’s great. He’ll joke about the possibility.

This is the reality of a public health crisis that could kill millions of Americans during the administration of a president with malignant narcissistic personality disorder, the terrible reality of millions of lives of his own people being in his hands.  Those lives don’t matter to him at all.

They are not there.  You are not there.

I would not put it past him to be delaying federal aid so as to be in the spotlight longer, or to fuck up the elections, or make money, or because he’s purposely destroying the country on orders from Vladimir Putin.  There is no motivation about which I would think “He could never go that low.”  There is no bottom to the depravity.

Remember the guy with NPD I talked about in my first Trump-NPD diary, who was happy when he found out his ex-girlfriend committed suicide, because it proved he was important?   That’s what’s sitting in the Oval Office. Other politicians, the media, the national thought leaders need to fully accept this and all its implications and quit pretending it’s not happening.
